Responsibilities - Grant Applications & Contracts
The Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP) facilitates research at Downstate by identifying and disseminating funding information, assisting in proposal development, reviewing and endorsing proposals, coordinating agreement negotiation, interpreting guidelines and promoting compliance with agency and University policies. The resources listed below are available to Downstate Investigators through either this web site or directly from DSP (BSB 2-71E, 270-2680).
The Division of Sponsored Programs, on behalf of Downstate Medical Center and the Research Foundation, is responsible for the review and processing of all sponsored research, training and public service applications (new, non-competing continuations and renewals) and subsequent awards. This includes all clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements and confidentiality agreements.
